Tony Snow, President Bush's new press secretary, penned an extraordinary column on Good Friday titled "Testing Our Faith". (HT: Smart Christian) It talks about Easter and the public square. It's not hard to discern where he stands. A good man, this Tony Snow.
Peter Robinson, over at the National Review's "Corner" says:
Tony Snow is smart, funny, and billiantly savvy in the ways of Washington; a devoted husband and doting father; a master of print, television, and radio alike; a patriot; a thoroughgoing conservative; a man of immense personal courage, as witness his struggle with cancer; and simply one of the nicest guys I know.
Have I made it clear that I consider his appointment good news?
UPDATE: 4:28/06 Deroy Murdock offers Tony Snow some advice on how to get the President's message out there. Well worth reading.
