A week ago I posted a Stanley Kurtz article warning about the inevitable clash between same-sex marriage and religious liberty. Today, Chuck Colson's "Breakpoint" tackles the same subject in a briefer, more accessible way. I urge readers to click through to the article. Citing the Massachusetts law that requires all adoption agencies (including Roman Catholic ones) to place children with same-sex couples or close their doors, Colson warns that
"if sexual orientation comes to be seen as analogous to race, which is already the view among many elites, including some in the judiciary. . . then all the force of law unleashed by racism charges will be brought to bear against the Church.
This is serious stuff. These are consequences that Mary Cheney, Vice-President Cheney's charming lesbian daughter, has not considered adequately in her book or interviews.
