Frontpagemag.com today published a major (and lengthy) report on "The Truth About the Muslim Brotherhood" by Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld and Alyssa A. Lappen. Many of us in the United States have only a vague acquaintance with the Muslim Brotherhood. This essay probes deeply into its philosophy, funding, and goals.
The Brotherhood is an expansive and secretive society with followers in more than 70 countries, dedicated to creating a global Islamic order that would isolate women and punish nonbelievers. Its members and supporters founded al Qaeda, as well as one “of the largest college student groups in the United States."
As stated on its charter and its website, the MB seeks to install an Islamic totalitarian empire, a worldwide Caliphate, through stages designed to Islamize [21] targeted nations by whatever means available.
Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld is author of Funding Evil; How Terrorism is Financed—and How to Stop It, Director of American Center for Democracy and a member of the Committee on the Present Danger. Alyssa A. Lappen is a Senior Fellow at the American Center for Democracy.
