Allison Kasic, the director of campus programs for the Independent Women's Forum, reviews Jessica Valenti's book, Full Frontal Feminism: A Young Woman’s Guide to Why Feminism Matters. Judging from the review, Jessica Valenti exhibits an addiction to vulgarities and coarseness, ranting as she does against wedding rings, married women who take their husband's last names ( even though 81 percent of women get married intending to change their last name), and who knows what else.
If we needed reasons why young women today shun the label "feminist," this review suggests the answer. Kasic concludes her review:
In her book she aims to succeed where groups like NOW have failed — to get young women excited about feminism. But I would suggest that if young women aren’t afraid of the word “feminism” before they read this book, they certainly will be after they read it.
