NPR published an even-handed account of large families, the parents of which (no surprise) shun birth control. (HT: HotAir) From the article:
Me: But there seems to be more to it than the NPR article indicates. The article, to its credit, mentions two books: Nancy Campbell, Be Fruitful and Multiply and Kathryn Joyce, Quiverfull: Inside The Christian Patriarchy Movement. The latter evaluates the evangelical patriarchy movement that remains under the radar screen of many, including probably most conservative Christians. I didn't know of it until very recently. I learned of it through a friend who encountered it in his small church. Vyckie Bennett offers a major Amazon review of the latter book. Her review mentions other books and authors associated with the movement.
