I take the title of Witherington's post as something of a joke, a professor's way of producing a wry smile on the faces of his indulgent audience. If I had the time, I would go to Amazon and calculate the total pages of the 10 books. I would bet the average is over 400 pages! I wonder if he gives points for having heard of the books, let alone having read them? If so, I can truthfully say I have heard of only three. One, Richard Bauckham's Jesus and the Eyewitnesses, I had blogged about previously and offered a link to a radio interview/debate with the author. Bauckham's book defends the trustworthiness of the New Testament gospels in new ways. It arrived in the mail today, all 538 pages of it!! It looks terrific.
